Nick Lazzarini ‘stepped down’ as artistic director of company as accusations surface

After allegations were made against the former choreographer of “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” and “Fuller House,” Nick Lazzarini, he has been pulled from a tour in Australia and New Zealand.

“Nick has stepped down as artistic director and producer of the CFDC tour due to recent allegations. We will not comment further,” the Full Contact Dance Company in Toronto said in a statement to The Wrap.

Lazzarini came under criticism after Star reported on three of his former dancers’ claims of sexual harassment and their subsequent decisions to sever ties with the company. In a statement published by Star, Full Contact’s co-artistic director Petra Booker said, “We had heard rumors or gossip that the artistic director had been suggestive with a couple of dancers in the past.” But, she added, “at no time in my employment was I ever subjected to sexual harassment.”

An anonymous dancer, who spoke to Star anonymously, also accused Lazzarini of sexual harassment while they were both members of his company, a claim Lazzarini denied.
